The User may allow, block or disable the cookies installed on their computer or mobile device through their browser settings. Internet browsers are usually set by default to accept cookies, but they can easily be disabled by changing the browser settings.

Withdrawal is carried out by sending an email to info.mx@wobi.com with the subject line “Withdrawal of Consent”, stating in the body of the message: the Data Subject's full name; the date from which they wish the withdrawal to take effect; and a copy of the official document proving their identity. Where the Data Subject does not submit the request in their own right, the person doing so must prove their representation by means of a public deed or power of attorney signed before two witnesses, together with official identification of both parties.

WOBI will respond to the request by email within 20 (twenty) business days from the date of receipt, applying the same additional-information provisions described in the previous section.

VIII. Department responsible for handling requests

If the Data Subject wishes to withdraw their consent, limit the use and disclosure of their information, or Access, Rectify, Cancel or Oppose the Processing of their Personal Data, they must do so through WOBI's Personal Data Protection Department, email info.mx@wobi.com.

IX. Means to limit the use or disclosure of personal data

In order to guarantee the protection of Data Subjects' Personal Data, WOBI undertakes to enter into legal agreements, adopt privacy, personal data protection and information security policies enforceable within its organisation, and implement technological, physical and administrative security measures.

WOBI stores personal information in limited-access databases located in controlled facilities with security mechanisms. WOBI undertakes to treat the information provided by the Data Subject as confidential.

WOBI also provides alternative mechanisms to the exercise of ARCO Rights so that Data Subjects can limit the use and disclosure of their Personal Data. To avoid receiving advertising, you may register with the Public Registry to Avoid Advertising (REPEP) of the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (PROFECO), at https://repep.profeco.gob.mx/.

We also inform you that, where applicable, you have the right to approach the Personal Data Protection Unit (UPDP) of the Ministry of Anti-Corruption and Good Governance (SABG) to assert your rights.

If the Data Subject wishes to know more about this section, they may send an email to info.mx@wobi.com with the subject line “Limitation of Use or Disclosure”.

X. Personal data retention period

In compliance with the quality principle, all of the Data Subject's Personal Data will be retained for the time necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected. It will then be subject to a blocking period prior to its cancellation.

XI. Changes to the privacy notice

The Data Subject is informed that this Privacy Notice may be modified at the time and in the manner determined by WOBI, always in accordance with the applicable legislation. WOBI informs Data Subjects that changes will be notified by publishing the updated version on the website and/or by sending an email to the address provided by the Data Subject.

Colombia — WOBI Colombia S.A.S.

1. Legal basis and scope

The right to Data Protection is intended to allow all individuals to know, update and rectify the information collected about them in files or databases. This constitutional right is set out in articles 15 and 20 of the Political Constitution; in Statutory Law 1581 of 2012, which establishes general provisions for the Personal Data Protection Law (LEPD); in Decree 1074 of 2015; and in chapter 25, section 3, article 2.2.2.25.3.2 of Decree 1074 of 2015, which partially regulates Law 1581 of 2012.

When the Data Subject gives consent for their data to form part of the database of an institution, whether public or private, legal entity or natural person, this is done through the data controller, who assumes a series of obligations: to process such data securely and carefully, to safeguard its integrity, and to act as the body to which the Data Subject may turn for monitoring and control of the information, being able to exercise the rights of consultation and complaint.

Although responsibility for data processing lies with the controller, its competences are exercised through the functions of its staff. Staff of the controlling institution with direct or indirect access to databases containing personal data must be familiar with data protection regulations, the organisation's data protection policy and the Habeas Data Policies and Procedures Manual, and must comply with the data security obligations corresponding to their functions and position.

To ensure compliance with its security obligations, WOBI COLOMBIA SAS appoints four security officers responsible for developing, coordinating, controlling and verifying compliance with the security measures set out in the Habeas Data Policies and Procedures Manual.

This policy applies to all personal data recorded in databases processed by the controller and is addressed to all data users, both internal staff and external staff of WOBI COLOMBIA SAS.

All users identified in this Security document are obliged to comply with the security measures established for data processing and are subject to the duty of confidentiality, even after their employment or professional relationship with the controlling organisation has ended. The duty of confidentiality, set out in article 4(h) of the Data Protection Law (LEPD), is formalised through a confidentiality agreement signed between the user and the controller.

Applicable regulatory framework

  • Statutory Law 1581 of 2012 (Congress of the Republic): “Establishing general provisions for the protection of personal data”. • Principle of legality: data processing is a regulated activity that must comply with the LEPD, Decree 1074 of 2015 and other implementing provisions.
  • Principle of purpose: processing must serve a legitimate purpose in accordance with the Constitution and the Law, which must be communicated to the Data Subject.

Personal data, except public information, may not be available on the internet or other mass communication media, unless access is technically controllable.

  • Principle of confidentiality: all persons involved in the processing of personal data that is not public in nature are obliged to guarantee the confidentiality of the information, even after their involvement in the processing has ended.

Data processing requires the prior and informed authorisation of the Data Subject by any means that can be consulted later, except in the following cases exempted by article 10 of the LEPD: information required by a public or administrative entity in the exercise of its legal functions or by court order; data of a public nature; medical or health emergencies; processing of information authorised by law for historical, statistical or scientific purposes; and data relating to the Civil Registry.

When requesting authorisation from the Data Subject, the controller must clearly and expressly inform them of the processing to which their data will be subject and its purpose; the optional nature of their response where the questions concern sensitive data or data of children and adolescents; the rights they have as a Data Subject; and the identification, physical address, email address and telephone number of the controller, keeping evidence of compliance with this duty.

4. Special categories of data

4.1. Sensitive data

Under article 6 of the LEPD, the processing of sensitive data is prohibited, except where:

  • Processing is carried out in the course of the legitimate activities and with appropriate guarantees by a foundation, NGO, association or other non-profit body with a political, philosophical, religious or trade-union purpose, provided that it relates exclusively to its members or to persons who maintain regular contact by reason of its purpose. In such cases, the data may not be supplied to third parties without the Data Subject's authorisation.

Once the above requirements are met, the legal representative of the child or adolescent will give authorisation after the minor has exercised their right to be heard, an opinion that will be assessed taking into account their maturity, autonomy and capacity to understand the matter.

Every controller and processor involved in the processing of the personal data of children and adolescents must ensure its appropriate use, complying at all times with the principles and obligations set out in the LEPD and Decree 1074 of 2015. The rights of access, correction, deletion, revocation or complaint for infringement over the data of children and adolescents will be exercised by the persons empowered to represent them.

5. Authorisation of the processing policy

In accordance with article 9 of the LEPD, the prior and informed authorisation of the Data Subject is required for the processing of personal data. By accepting this policy, any Data Subject who provides information relating to their personal data consents to the processing of their data by WOBI COLOMBIA SAS, under the terms and conditions set out herein.

The Data Subject's authorisation will not be required in the case of: information required by a public or administrative entity in the exercise of its legal functions or by court order; data of a public nature; medical or health emergencies; processing of information authorised by law for historical, statistical or scientific purposes; and data relating to the Civil Registry.

The privacy policy for this entity is being updated. In the meantime, for any question regarding the processing of your personal data, please contact us at info@wobi.com.

USA & Canada

This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their “Personally Identifiable Information” (PII) is being used online on our website. PII, as described in US privacy law and information security, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context. Please read our privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your PII in accordance with our website.

What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our blog, website or app?

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, or other details to help you with your experience, as well as credit card information only when users purchase entrances for our events.

How do we collect information?

We collect information from you when you: (i) register on our site, (ii) subscribe to a newsletter, (iii) enter information on our site, (iv) buy tickets for our events, or (v) fill in online registration forms and electronic entrances for our events.

How do we use your information?

  • To personalize your experience and allow us to deliver the type of content and product offerings in which you are most interested.
  • To allow us to better service you in responding to your customer service requests.
  • To quickly process your transactions.
  • To send periodic emails regarding your order or other products and services.
  • To share it with the sponsor companies of our events, which use it to send periodic emails regarding their products and services.

How do we protect your information?

Our website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our site as safe as possible. We use regular malware scanning.

Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

We implement a variety of security measures when a user places an order, enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information.

All transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.

Do we use “cookies”?

We use cookies for tracking purposes in order to recall our website users' preferences and to obtain metrics, measurement and analysis of our website traffic and operations (e.g. Google Analytics).

You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser settings. Since each browser is a little different, look at your browser's Help Menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies.

If you turn cookies off, some of the features that make your site experience more efficient may not function properly.

Third-party disclosure

We only transfer to outside parties (companies acting in our events as “Sponsors”) your name and any form of online contact identifier, such as email accounts.

We engage in this practice because we share information about our event attendees with the companies that sponsor such events, so those companies are able to send periodic emails regarding their products and services.

Third-party links

Google

Google's advertising requirements can be summed up by Google's Advertising Principles. They are put in place to provide a positive experience for users. See Google's Advertising Principles.

We use Google AdSense Advertising on our website.

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google's use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to our users based on previous visits to our site and other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google Ad and Content Network privacy policy.

We have implemented Demographics and Interests Reporting.

We, along with third-party vendors such as Google, use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookies) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) or other third-party identifiers together to compile data regarding user interactions with ad impressions and other ad service functions as they relate to our website.

Opting out

Users can set preferences for how Google advertises to them using the Google Ad Settings page. Alternatively, you can opt out by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative Opt Out page or by using the Google Analytics Opt Out Browser Add-on.

California Online Privacy Protection Act

CalOPPA is the first state law in the nation to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. The law's reach stretches well beyond California to require any person or company in the United States (and conceivably the world) that operates websites collecting PII from California consumers to post a conspicuous privacy policy on its website stating exactly the information being collected and those individuals or companies with whom it is being shared.

According to CalOPPA, we agree to the following:

  • Once this privacy policy is created, we will add a link to it on our home page or, as a minimum, on the first significant page after entering our website.
  • Our Privacy Policy link includes the word “Privacy” and can easily be found on the page specified above.
  • You will be notified of any Privacy Policy changes on our Privacy Policy page.
  • You can change your personal information by emailing us.

How does our site handle Do Not Track signals?

We honor Do Not Track signals and do not track, plant cookies, or use advertising when a Do Not Track (DNT) browser mechanism is in place.

Does our site allow third-party behavioral tracking?

It's also important to note that we do not allow third-party behavioral tracking.

COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act)

When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control. The Federal Trade Commission, the United States' consumer protection agency, enforces the COPPA Rule, which spells out what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children's privacy and safety online.

We do not specifically market to children under the age of 13.

Fair Information Practices

The Fair Information Practices Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States and the concepts they include have played a significant role in the development of data protection laws around the globe. Understanding the Fair Information Practice Principles and how they should be implemented is critical to comply with the various privacy laws that protect personal information.

In order to be in line with Fair Information Practices, we will take the following responsive action should a data breach occur: we will notify users via in-site notification within 7 business days.

We also agree to the Individual Redress Principle, which requires that individuals have the right to legally pursue enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to adhere to the law. This principle requires not only that individuals have enforceable rights against data users, but also that individuals have recourse to courts or government agencies to investigate and/or prosecute non-compliance by data processors.

CAN-SPAM Act

We collect your email address in order to:

  • Send information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions.
  • Process orders and send information and updates pertaining to orders.
  • Send you additional information related to your product and/or service.
  • Market to our mailing list or continue to send emails to our clients after the original transaction has occurred.
  • Share it with the sponsor companies of our events, which use it to send periodic emails regarding their products and services.

To be in accordance with CAN-SPAM, we agree to the following:

  • Not use false or misleading subjects or email addresses.
  • Identify the message as an advertisement in some reasonable way.
  • Include the physical address of our business or site headquarters.
  • Monitor third-party email marketing services for compliance, if one is used.
  • Honor opt-out/unsubscribe requests quickly.
  • Allow users to unsubscribe by using the link at the bottom of each email.

If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, you can email us at info.us@wobi.com and we will promptly remove you from ALL correspondence.

By accepting these terms and conditions, you authorize us to share your name and email account information for commercial purposes with any of our sponsors all around the world.
