Co-founder and CEO of Mexico's Banco Compartamos, the largest microfinance institution in Latin America, Labarthe focuses on implementing new ideas to make ventures successful.

Labarthe helps small entrepreneurs and has been a leader in aiding the poor. His microfinance experience and his emphasis on social welfare have led to his membership of the World Bank's Executive Committee of the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor and he is also the Chairman of the MicroFinance Network Steering Committee.
