What could possibly be better than a perfectly tailored piece of clothing? One that is also conscious of the environment. Although fashion and sustainability may seem like they are worlds apart, there are some brave players in the fashion industry who are taking advantage of an opportunity to introduce sustainable habits and resource optimization that have the planet’s best interest in mind.

The challenge is great: to contest an established paradigm that changes behavior patterns. However, fortunately there are people and organizations that are facing the task. With events that drive sustainable fashion and institutions that help train designers interested in using eco-friendly materials, the eco-fashion movement might not just be a “trend” but could turn into a style that is embedded in our day-to-day life.
