A speech that marked a first for World Leadership Forum Mexico, the Mexican Rául Allegre left his footpring on the stage, discussing leadership, teamwork and sports. Sports analyst and commentator for ESPN Sports, he was a member of the NFL New York Giants team, a two.time winner of the Vince Lombardi trophy.
Allegre shared with the audience six keys any leader should have in mind in order to build effective teams, and they are what we feature here in our blog!
“A good leader is one that helps grow the potential of those around him or her,” said Allegre, citing one of his bosses from ESPN. On this premise, he details the six C’s leaders should focus on to achieve exactly that.
Change: Every leader must have a thirst for change and evolution, and transmit it to their team
Crisis: Leaders must be capable of guiding their businesses through difficult moments, and overcome them.
Coaching: Each leader is responsible for training and driving growth from their teams, on an academic as well as professional one.
Communication: Leaders much create a common bond between themselves and members of the team, where there is fluid communication.
Clarity: The leader must have a clear vision, know where they are going, and be able to transmit this to the team.
Community: The leader must have an ability to identify talent and build a community, without being afraid to include people that could have more talent than the leader.
